ABOUT CRANFORD COACHING
My name is Alice Cooper, and I'm an independent coach. I carry out my coaching work under the name Cranford Coaching, having grown up in the beautiful Northamptonshire village of that name.
I work with people across a wide variety of businesses and the third sector as an Executive & Career Coach, and as a facilitator for training and strategy events, and also with a number of private clients as a Career, and Personal Development Coach (sometimes called a "Life Coach"). When I'm not coaching, I also hold a number of Non-Executive Director roles, keeping me closely in touch with the real challenges facing organisations and people across sectors today.

EXECUTIVE COACHING
Executive Coaching is aimed at managers and leaders. It is based on the premise that you already have great potential and internal resources, and that that the job of a coach is to help you find ways to be more effective at accessing them, and therefore better facing the significant challenges your role can bring your way.
Executive Coaching can help those moving into leadership roles for the first time, and dealing with the transition from more technical roles, or can be a rare confidential sounding board or space for feedback for experienced senior leaders. What people are looking for from Executive Coaching can vary greatly, from time and space to reflect, healthy challenge and feedback, to help working through a particular work challenge they are facing.
I am happy to receive contact from either individuals themselves, or organisations who might like to discuss coaching options for their people.
CAREER COACHING
Career coaching can be useful at various stages, from leaving education, to the late stages of your career. I can cover anything along that journey, from helping with your thinking about what career path might be right for you given what makes you tick, to taking the first early steps along that route, or when considering whether your current career meets your needs, and if need be helping you plan your possible other options and steps along the way. It can also be helpful when you are at a career crossroads such as returning after a career break or approaching redundancy or retirement. Coaching can be reflective at times, but career coaching can also help you with the essential practicalities such as getting a great, truly bespoke CV ready, practice at presenting and marketing yourself, and interview techniques and practice.
PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT COACHING
Personal Development Coaching uses the same techniques as Executive Coaching, and often deals with similar challenges clients are facing, but is aimed at those who are not coming "with their work hat on"! It is pretty much what some people call "Life Coaching". The core principal is still that you have the resources and potential inside to tackle your challenges, and all a skilled coach will do is help you better access these. Typical issues clients come with include wanting to explore your core values and "who you are", wishing to increase your self confidence, wanting to plan out the next stages of your life more explicitly, or facing changing circumstances such as becoming a parent or needing to make changes to your work-life balance.
FACILITATION AND TRAINING
As well as one-to-one coaching, I am happy to work with small coaching groups/learning sets within your organisation on developmental topics, and I am also a skilled and experienced facilitator for customer or staff feedback sessions, strategy meetings, brainstorm sessions etc. where you need an independent person on board who can sensitively but firmly bring your team closer to your objectives. I am also experienced in training delivery, and am able to support internal teams where an extra pair or hands is needed - as well as being an energetic presenter and facilitator, I am very experienced in getting up to speed on new technical areas very quickly.
