ABOUT ME

My name is Alice Cooper, and I'm an independent coach.  I carry out my coaching work under the name Cranford Coaching, having grown up in the beautiful Northamptonshire village of that name.

I work with people across a wide variety of businesses and the third sector as an Executive Coach, and as a facilitator for training and strategy events, and also with a number of private clients as a Career, and Personal Development Coach.  I also now combine my coaching work with a number of Non-Executive Director roles, keeping me closely in touch with the real challenges facing organisations and people across sectors today.

As a coach, I work with clients on a wide range of issues including frequently:

  • Reflecting on their personal values and skills

  • Building self confidence

  • Building impact

  • Moving from doing to leading

  • Approaching career crossroads or returning after career breaks

  • Considering career options and plans

  • Creating a truly bespoke CV and effective interview preparation

  • Taking the first steps into your career

  • Preparing for new roles or fresh challenges, and

  • Interacting more effectively with others.

In my corporate work I have historically had a particular focus on clients in the financial services sector, where I bring a great deal of credibility, and my own commercial experience, to bear in helping my clients develop, but coaching need not be sector specific.

My focus is a firm belief in the unique value of each individual - as a whole person, and also in the real benefit to their wellbeing and personal effectiveness coaching can bring. Helping them better access their potential not only benefits the individual themselves, but also their interactions with others, and the effectiveness of the teams and organisations they operate within.

Before working as an Executive Coach, I initially studied psychology, and then went on to qualify as a chartered accountant working largely with Financial Services clients.  I later made a full move into the sector taking a number of senior roles in areas including risk & governance, change management, and strategic planning. In all my roles I have always had a significant focus on engaging and developing people, and this lead me to choose to complete my formal training as an Executive Coach following a very positive experience of coaching myself.  Since then I have been working as an independent Coach and Consultant, alongside my work in a number of Non-Executive Director posts.

In my spare time I am very active in my community, and also sing whenever possible!
